Residential Estimator

Directly responsible for the sales & production functions of Timberline Landscaping, Inc. including customer interaction, contract bidding, and production activities. Duties include meeting with customers to assess needs & wants, preparing plans for approval, and submitting bid documents.

Duties include meeting with customers to assess needs & wants, preparing plans for approval, and submitting bid documents
Create accurate estimates based on detailed takeoffs created from residential landscape designs and specifications
Use of precision takeoff and estimating software
Timeliness and accuracy on estimates
Written proposals/change orders
Hands off projects to production manager
Verifying material prices with vendors
And other tasks as required
Requirements:
Person must have leadership and personnel management ability
Ability to plan and organize the work of self and others
Ability to read and interpret documents such as landscape plans, construction details, and specifications
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the company
Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute ratio and percent
Ability to define problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
Must have a working knowledge of computers and software (such as Microsoft Word and Excel)
Desired qualities to include:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Valid Colorado Driver’s License with a safe driving record
Certified Landscape Technician

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, listen, talk and drive
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls such as calculators, file cabinets, telephone, or keyboard
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can extend to extreme if monitoring work in the field

Salary: $40,000-$50,000
