Residential Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for client satisfaction and serves as the face of the company for a portfolio of commercial and/or residential landscape contracts. The Account Manager is responsible for oversight of his/her properties, sales through enhancements, and timely submission of financial data.
Duties & Responsibilities
Write and negotiate contract renewals with assistance from the Maintenance Manager
Propose estimates for enhancements with current maintenance contracts with assistance from the Maintenance Manager
Oversight and direction of Field Supervisor positions
Ensures quality expectations are being met and exceeded
Ensures that customers are satisfied through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits, as well as the ability to develop customer rapport
Monthly site visits for commercial/residential properties
Assist with mobilizing snow removal crews on portfolio properties
Responsible for visiting portfolio properties to ensure quality expectations and specifications have been met or exceeded
Strong analytical skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines
Assist with new hire orientation and new hire training
Provide oversight of portfolio properties to ensure cost and times are within budget
Ability to complete billing in a timely manner with assistance from the Maintenance Manager
Evaluate job cost on a weekly basis
Ensures timely submission of all paperwork
Pursue outstanding payments from clients who are late on payments
Ensures a safe environment for employees, customers, and the general public
Other functions as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Horticulture, Landscape Maintenance or related field and/or a minimum of four years relevant experience
Positive attitude with a professional demeanor and appearance, be team oriented, and be a strong role model for ethics and integrity
Excellent time management, project management and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills using a windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license with a current safe driving record which must be maintained for this job position
Effective communication skills; including writing, routine correspondence, reports, presenting to employees, and interpersonal communication
Must pass post-offer background check consisting of employment history, personal/professional references, criminal record, MVR, and drug screen (includes marijuana).
Leadership, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills (including the handling of multiple priorities and deadlines)
Effective organizational skills that includes the ability to self-manage work and manage the work of others.
Must be highly adaptable to the kinds of change that comes along with working in an entrepreneurial environment.
Self-starting initiative to pursue improvements and projects without substantial supervision.

Desired qualities to include
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Sales experience
Knowledge of Aspire software, or other CRM software
Certifications in Landscape Maintenance and Irrigation
6 + years of experience as an Account Manager

Physical Demand & Work Environment
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
This job is an indoor/outdoor job which will require time spent at a desk environment using a computer as well as exposure to unknown weather conditions.

Salary: $43,000 – $48,000 DOE, 3% commission on sales, 1.5% on renewals
Hours: 40+ hours per week
