Automotive Technician (Night Shop)

The Automotive Technician will be responsible for all mechanical repair operations to include: fleet vehicles that consist of Ford F-550s, Dodge Rams, Isuzu NPRs. In addition, repair operations include associated tow behind equipment consisting of air compressors, trailers, etc.
The successful candidate must be able to work nights to take advantage of equipment downtime.

Duties & responsibilities:
· Ability to perform advanced diagnosis & repair to include: drivability, electrical, suspension, steering, engine, drivetrain and transmission repair and replacement in accordance with manufacturer’s required and recommended practices.
· Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission fluid changes, HVAC service, battery installations, etc.
Ability to process daily routine paperwork.
· Must be able to perform annual DOT inspections according to the FMCSR.
· Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair. Must be able to use electronic manuals and web-based troubleshooting guides in order to conduct repairs properly.
· Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the root cause of problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
· Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for post-repair test drives to verify soundness of repairs.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
· Maintain legible and accurate paperwork
· Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
· Perform mechanic repair work ranging from minor repairs to major engine overhauls on all automotive equipment.
· Perform trailer wiring, brake repairs & maintenance, hydraulics repairs & maintenance, and tire repair.
· Ability to take direction from Shop Foreman.
· Other functions as assigned.

Requirements:
MUST WORK NIGHTS AS A REQUIREMENT OF THE POSITION.
· ASE Certifications in A4 (Suspension & Steering) and A5 (Brakes).
· Previous working technician experience of at least 3 years.
· Self-starting initiative to find answers to problems through manuals, safety rules, and other information searches.
· Experience working on various makes/models.
· Must provide your own tools.
· Valid Colorado driver’s license with a current safe driving record which must be maintained for this position
· Professional conduct and communication.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Keep up-to-date with current/emerging mechanical trends

Desired qualities to include:
· ASE certification(s) preferred:
A6 – Electrical/Electronic Sys.
A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning
A8 – Engine Performance
A9 – Light Vehicle Diesel Engines
· Knowledge of small engines, fabrication and welding
· Valid Colorado CDL Class A driver’s license

Physical Demand & Work Environment:
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. (ask for assistance when lifting more than 50 lbs.)
· Moderate noise level in the work environment
· This job is an indoor/outdoor job which will require exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals and odors.

Production Supervisor

Primary Operational Objectives:
The Production Supervisor must be thoroughly familiar with and able to perform all aspects of account maintenance to include: estimating, production, scheduling, customer service and training.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct site inspections for quality and/or assist crews with assigned tasks.
o Report landscape/irrigation issues to Maintenance Manager.
• Assist with mobilizing snow removal on portfolio properties.
o Responsible for visiting portfolio properties to ensure quality expectations and specifications have been met or exceeded.
• Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and reports any unsafe conditions to Safety Coordinator.
• Timely reporting of all accidents/property damage and provides supporting documentation.
• Monitor truck maintenance and daily vehicle inspections are being performed in a timely manner for assigned crews.
• Able to effectively train field crew members.
• Edit and approve data collection for job numbers, cost codes, hourly work and materials daily.
• Must be able to obtain Landscape Industry Certified Technician (LICT) certification in first year.
• Contribute to the weekly manager meetings by proactively addressing client/crew issues.
Level II: All of Level I plus:
• Ability to research equipment purchases and/or pricing
• Ability to obtain Qualified Supervisor (QS) certification within a year.
• Maintain positive relationships with industry partners and vendors.
• Must have a professional appearance and image always when representing Timberline.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Landscape Maintenance or related field and/or a minimum of four years’ landscape maintenance experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations.
• Daily use of computer technology familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Self-motivated individual who sets their own personal and professional goals.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid Certified a plus.
• Must pass background check consisting of employment history, personal/professional references, criminal record and drug screening.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, highly desirable.
• Certifications in landscape maintenance and irrigation, highly desirable.
• Must be willing to do things outside of your job description. All team members help and support other departments when necessary.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Ability to lift or move 50+ lbs. (2 persons lift over 50 lbs.)
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching and standing, may at times be highly physical work.
• This job is an indoor/outdoor job which will require exposure to all weather conditions, dust, dirt, chemicals/solvents and odors.
• PPE is provided and must wear company approved uniform.
