Landscaping the 39th U.S. Senior Open at The Broadmoor

The 39th U.S. Senior Open has come to town and Timberline Landscaping was fortunate enough to receive the opportunity to complete the landscape design and install for the tournament! The U.S. Senior Open is being hosted at The Broadmoor beginning June 25th through July 1st, 2018.

This year, our focus was on the main tent area, including the merchandise, Lexus, Jr. tent, first aid and concession tents with plant material generously donated from Harding Nursery. The landscape design features hydrangeas, maple trees, upright junipers and several other varieties of beautiful plants and trees. Colorado’s Native Pollinators

When you think of the word pollinator, what comes to mind? Typically, your answer would be bees and you are correct! Colorado has 946 species of native bees, which is more than the whole eastern U.S. combined where only 803 species are known. Our state has such a high population of bee species because we have diverse habitats and regional climates within the state that are associated with changes in elevation, longitude and latitude.
